This award honors a Berkshire County woman for her considerable career accomplishments and outstanding commitment to the community. This year we are thrilled and honored to present this award to Gwendolyn VanSant, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founding Director of Multicultural BRIDGE as our 2019 Woman of Achievement.
The celebration will be held on Monday, May 6th at the Country Club of Pittsfield at 5:30pm to honor her achievements and outstanding commitment to the community. Ticket purchase has now ended.
About the WOA Fundraiser
The Berkshire Business & Professional Women's Organization has been awarding career advancement scholarships to working women since the early 1990's. The funds awarded can be used for any necessity that the awardee may have to help them in the educational endeavor such as uniforms, books, tuition or computer costs.
In the last two years, $12,000 and $11,500 were awarded and the Woman of Achievement is the major fundraiser for this event. The applications are available in the Spring with a deadline of July 1 and the awards are presented at the organization's September meeting. Candidates have to be at least 25 and have to live in and work either part-time or full-time in Berkshire County.
