A November hello!
Many of us are getting ready for a Thanksgiving Day feast with friends and family. It is a great day and weekend to “take stock” of life’s blessings as well as to help others in need. Please read about our December 2nd meeting for an opportunity to do just that!
I hope you enjoyed our November dinner and meeting, with speaker and author, Joan Cohen, talking with us about the realities of dealing with Alzheimers’ Disease. She was both warm and informative. Again, we will utilize your feedback to improve on upcoming events and meetings.
We are starting to engage members in our Committees. It is not too late to reach out to any Board Member to help with your talents!
Our December meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 2nd from 5:30-7:30 at Methuselah. Be sure to RSVP before the November 25th deadline. We look forward to seeing you!
- The meeting will include yummy h’ors d’oeuvres and drinks. The evening will include a fun networking exercise hosted by Karen O’Donnell Principal with Autonomy LLC and Kalee Carmel of 18 Degrees.
- The Board of BBPW will host a wine pull to benefit the BBPW Scholarship Fund.
- For all looking to benefit those in need in our community this holiday season, we will be collecting gift cards for families in need at 18 Degrees (formerly Berkshire Children and Families). Gift cards of all kinds can help these families during their holiday season, including: Big-Y, Walmart, Gas cards and Visa gift cards. Please consider giving to this cause and helping a family enjoy their holidays in this season of need. Additionally, if you bring a gift card to the December meeting you will get an extra drink chit. Please reach out to Kalee Carmel with any questions about gifts at 413-448-8281 x219 orkcarmel@18degreesma.org.”
In years past, we have donated gifts to children at Hillcrest Educational Foundation. If you would like to give to this cause, please contact Peter Lopenzina at 413-499-7924 x133 or plopenzina@hillcrestec.org.
This eNewsletter is a place where members can contribute content regarding their businesses and other points of interest. Input is through the website. I hope to read some exciting articles in this issue!
Your board continues to be energized and is working hard. We are excited by new members and bigger attendance at our meetings. We remain committed to making the Berkshire BPW worth every minute of your time and energy.
See you out and about over the next two weeks.
With gratitude to both members and friends,
Celia
