Bio: Abbie von Schlegell, CFRE, FAFP, has over 40 years of development experience, a consultant for half of her career, and a senior development officer for four major institutions including Stanford University, the University of Chicago, and the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. She started a. von schlegell & co. in 2007 specializing in advancement, governance, nonprofit management, and wealth screening. Abbie conducts workshops and conference sessions on major gifts, governance, capital campaigns, and fundraising for AFP, Board Source, CASE, and United Way. In 2018, she became an AFP Distinguished Fellow for her contributions to the philanthropic and fundraising profession.
