Dear Berkshire BPW members and friends,
What a great week for me, having our family together after a very long while for Mother’s Day, now that we are fully vaccinated! My daughter and her four year-old Westie pictured. I hope you all enjoyed Mother’s Day. It is great to honor those who raised us, helped us, mothered us and mentored us. And it is also wonderful to be appreciated for all we have done for the next generation!
Like the Berkshires, it is a very chilly Spring here in Vermont. I had to cover my recently-planted pots last night, as the temps went down almost to freezing. Skis hung up for the year and the bicycles are out on the deck, waiting for us to tune them up!
I am thrilled to announce additional interest in our Board and our Committees: Hannah DeLisle-Stall will be our new Vice President, as well as our Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee.
We formally voted in the following new Board and Committee members at our monthly meeting this week:
Voted-in Board Members: Alisa Costa, Roberta McCulloch-Dews, Sonya Purvis
Committee Co-Chairs: Stephanie Bosely and Abby Powers
There are a few additional interested women, who I will share with you once confirmed. And we still have opportunities to contribute. The team is really coming together! Please reach out to me if you are interested or know of anyone who is.
Here is this month’s BBPW scoop:
June Meeting: On Monday, June 7th at 5:30 pm, we will have our Annual Meeting, Member suggestions discussion and fun with Trivia.
Stay tuned! NEW Member benefit leadership training opportunity: Claire Richards is working with NFBPWC, inc in setting up a three module training series. Claire is working quickly to organize and set this training up. They will be offered one a month for approximately 60 minutes. More information to follow and invite. This is a free member benefit training series.
Woman of Achievement: We will be holding our Woman of Achievement event again in September, on the 20th. Please mark your calendars!! It looks like we will repeat a hybrid program, at Balderdash and on Zoom afterward.
Monthly e-Newsletter: We are always looking for members who would like to submit an article for publication in the e-Newsletter and we also offer any member’s business or organization to be featured in our Monthly Spotlight. Please fill out this form to be featured.
Member Portal: If you have not looked through our member portal please check it out and add your profile today! Our email list is growing, and this is a good way to get the word out about your business and to do business with women-owned businesses.
I am so looking forward to summer and to seeing you sometime soon, now that I am living a little more freely, in a fully fascinated mode!
Thanks for your support and membership. With much gratitude for all we have and share,
