The Liberty Mutual philosophy of being customer centric and always doing the right thing for the customer aligns with her personal feelings. Today she is helping people be prepared for difficult and uncertain times; protecting what they love, cherish and work hard for. Working with people to help them obtain financial security has proved to be a good fit for Janet’s talents. The customer centric and “Do the Right Thing” philosophy of Liberty Mutual aligns with what Janet has always believed: ”Educate people with the truth so they can make informed decisions, and they will do what is right for them” while making decisions for their wellbeing and financial future. Whether it is Home, Auto, Live, Annuity or Pet insurance, Janet treats every customer with professionalism and respect, as she has always done in the past.

Janet Brennan has been known in Berkshire County for years planning weddings, galas, conferences, as Catering, Event and Sales Manager for Crowne Plaza Hotel Berkshires. With over 300 weddings behind her, she has worked with diverse cultures, families, and made many friends. Upon Crowne Plaza Berkshires sale in June 2017 Janet left the Crowne Plaza family and produced weddings and events for smaller boutique style properties in Northern Berkshires and Vermont with Haycreek Hotels.

Janet has served on many committees in Pittsfield, the 4th of July, Third Thursday, Ethnic Fair, former President Pittsfield Tourism Commission, and sees great opportunity for the area as we continue with the “new normal”.

She has been married to the same man for over 30 years, and when planning their family decided to be a stay at home Mom, which turned into a licensed family home day care as her daughter grew up. Janet cared for children ranging from 2 years and up with a focus on communication development and differently abled children, making an inclusive environment for all. It was bitter sweet as her charges left care to enter the school system, but rewarding to see them thrive in their new environments. A native of Pittsfield, before getting married Janet lived in Florida and Arizona, worked in the hospitality industry and chose to return to the Berkshires to spend more time with her aging parents and met her future husband. After getting married, she worked in home furnishings and design market for local furniture stores until she started to raise her family.

With her free time Janet enjoys the country life of the Berkshires, spending time with her daughter and her horse and 3 dogs, hiking, gardening and boating, cooking farm to table, and stay connected to people she worked with for so many years. The Berkshires are her home, and she enjoys their beauty and culture here above anywhere else. You can contact Janet at
