Dear Berkshire BPW members and friends,
I hope you’re having a fantastic February. From Valentines Day to Presidents Day to Susan B. Anthony’s 100th birthday, we have much to celebrate and appreciate. Susan B. Anthony was a Massachusetts native who devoted her life to anti-slavery and women’s rights, including the right to vote.
February is also an exciting month for the Berkshire BPW. We are launching our new Mentorship Program with a kickoff Orientation meeting for mentors and signed up mentees on February 25th. We will be then be sharing info about the program at our March dinner meeting and inviting BBPW members to join our program! The panel should be very strong and informative. It will be facilitated by Shela Levante.
The Mentorship Committee will be Co-Chaired by Karen O’Donnell and Karen Zink, who are both experienced mentors and are “all-in” with our new initiative.
Please take a look at the info on our March 2nd meeting and be sure to RSVP as soon as possible. Our meetings have been very well-attended recently and we want to accommodate everyone.
In addition to the Mentorship Program, Suzanne Engels will be collecting workwear at the dinner for “SuitYourself”, a program sponsored by Goodwill. Be sure to go through your closet and bring “formerly loved” career items to donate.
Finally, the Woman of Achievement Committee is off to the races and is working hard. If you’d like to help, there is still time and plenty to do! See Lynn Wallace, our WOA Chair or reach out to me at BBPWpresident@gmail.com.
I look forward to seeing many of you on March 2nd!
All my best,
Celia
