Dear BBPW members and friends,
With shorter days and the sun in hibernation, it is particularly hard to remain upbeat this time of year. As we step into this especially difficult holiday season, we need to continue to be vigilant and considerate to keep our friends and loved ones safe. Make sure to find creative ways to celebrate with those close to you and find joy in even the ordinary.
In keeping with the giving spirit that December brings out in us all, the BBPW Board has decided to donate to the Suit Your Self program of Goodwill. We know how challenging these times can be and feel it is important to give back where and how you are able. In my personal life, I give back by volunteering my time in the small animals and kennel departments at Berkshire Humane Society. We encourage all our members to choose a cause important to them and give back in any way possible.
Here is this month’s BBPW scoop:
January Meeting: Our next meeting will be held virtually on Monday, January 4th at 5:30pm. RSVP here to start off the new year setting goals, planning for an abundant year and creating lasting habits for your mental and physical health with Shannon Ashcroft.
December Meeting: We hope everyone enjoyed the change of pace our last meeting brought. It was refreshing to sit back, relax and enjoy a conversation with all of you! Hopefully, you met someone new and were able to reconnect with those you had not seen in a while. We are thankful to all who attended and made the night so special.
The Future of Programs: Our Programs Co-Chairs, Beth Gilbert and Lynn Wallace, have been hard at work trying to produce content that our membership will find exciting and valuable. Please, take 2 minutes from your day to complete this survey so they can continue to bring you meaningful programming. They also plan to incorporate networking into every virtual meeting. Starting with the January meeting, the first 15 minutes will be spent networking in small groups, after which we will convene as a larger group and start the speaker portion of the program.
Volunteer Opportunities: We are looking to do some exciting things in our future and need your help! We are in search of members to step up into committee volunteer roles with programs, communications, fundraising, and Woman of Achievement. We also have some board members with expiring terms in June. If you are interested in volunteering with BBPW or know someone who would be a good fit, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Monthly e-Newsletter: We are always looking for members who would like to submit an article for publication in the e-Newsletter and we also offer any member’s business or organization to be featured in our Monthly Spotlight. Please fill out this form to be featured.
Member Portal: If you have not looked through our member portal please check it out and add your profile today! Our email list is growing, and this is a good way to get the word out about your business and to do business with women-owned businesses.
Best wishes for joyful holidays,
