April, 2022: Letter from the President

Dear Berkshire BPW Members and Friends,

I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and longer days that this Spring has (finally!) brought. This Spring gives us a lot to look forward to at Berkshire BPW. Our Mentoring cycle is in full swing, and our Scholarship application is now live and receiving applications. Perhaps most exciting of all, our plans to resume in-person events later this Spring are in the works, thanks to our awesome Programming team – Alisa Costa and Lynn Wallace! Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox so you can be among the first to hear about (and RSVP for) what we have in store for our June meeting!

I’m sure you all know by now that BBPW’s Career Advancement Scholarship Program is very close to my heart. I am so excited that the application is now live and ready for applicants to complete on our website. It is such a privilege that we get to help so many hard working women in our community through this program. Now it’s time to get the word out so that women can learn about the scholarship and apply. Our Scholarship and Communications committees are hard at work to execute our Scholarship Marketing plan, but our members also play a key role in spreading the word. As you see our social media campaign posts come out, please feel free to like, comment, and share so that we can continue to grow this program and connect women in our community with this opportunity.

Speaking of marketing, Communications Co-Chair Roberta McCulloch-Dews helped to coordinate the creation of a PSA for Berkshire BPW through Pittsfield Community Television’s annual “PSA Days”. Be on the lookout for our 30-second slot on PCTV, as well as on WTBR 89.7FM. Thank you to Roberta and to PCTV for this wonderful opportunity! You can also find the video here.

Lastly, I want to remind you all that BBPW members are invited to contribute content for our monthly e-Newsletter. We are happy to shine the spotlight on members as a way to help grow their business, or post job opportunities. Our email list is growing, so this is a great way to increase visibility for your business or organization, and for members to support women-run businesses and organizations in our community. If you are interested in contributing to the newsletter, or being featured in our member spotlight, please contact our Communications Team by completing the form on this page here.

Thank you to all for your support and membership!

Warmly,

Hannah
