We recently launched an exciting, new Mentoring Program and want to be sure all members know about it.
Our dinner on Monday, March 2nd was a panel on Mentorship and we had several members sign up to be Mentees and Mentors. This was in addition to our Pilot Program launched in February. Please take a look at the two articles attached.
If you are interested in being a Mentee:
We have a few openings for Mentees at this point in time. If you are interested in applying to the program, please complete the attached application and send to bbpwpresident@gmail.com along with your resume by March 30, 2020.
This program is a wonderful opportunity to develop their skills and grow in confidence in your career through one-on-one work with a highly experienced woman leader.
If you are interested in being a Mentor:
If you are interested in being a mentor, please send your resume and an email to bbpwpresident@gmail.com. We are only able to add mentors based on the number of mentee applications.
Once the mentees are selected, there will be an initial in-person Orientation Meeting in April. At that meeting, mentees and mentors will meet each other and each mentee will request a mentor. Once mentees are matched with mentors, each mentor and mentee will meet weekly or bi-weekly, either face to face or over the phone.
Additionally, we will have an in-person mid-year check-in meeting and end-of-year celebration.
And, based on interest, we may offer periodic leadership training, including Networking, Communication, Goal-Setting and Leading with your Strengths.
While there is no cost to either the mentor or mentee, there is a commitment of time and effort to foster an effective relationship. At Orientation, we will ask both mentor and mentee to sign a commitment contract. The program will last for twelve months.
This is something you won’t want to miss out on!
Warmly,
The Mentorship Committee
Linda Dulye, Karen Zink, Karen O’Donnell, Beth Wallace, Suzanne Engels and Celia Clancy
